Sherlock Holms The Last Act
Grand Hyatt Shanghai presents Theatre In The Clouds

Last night I had the pleasure of watching the play Sherlock Holmes – The Last Act at the Grand Hyatt Shanghai.  Truly a theatrical tour-de force by the brilliant Nigel Miles-Thomas.  Nigel played 14 characters, all by himself, in an hour long play, and articulately reciting lines equivalent to a whopping quantity of twenty four pages A4 paper!

Sherlock Holmes – The last act shows the man behind the myth, exposing the great detective’s fears and weaknesses, the devastating consequences of the dramas of his formative years, and unexpectedly, his cutting sense of humour.  A gripping story is told, featuring cross-examinations and heated arguments between Holmes and Watson.

Nigel Miles-Thomas was performing last night at the Chairman Suite which is on 82 floor of the hotel. Hence the show’s name Theatre In The Clouds.

Specially crated food. Dedicated staff. Meticulous service.

Nigel Miles-Thomas has put together an amazing show with smooth scene changes, a clear focus, and a cohesiveness that is both impressive and unmatched.

It was such a proven success I encourage Grand Hyatt Shanghai to do more this and other events in the times to come. For any people to escape from the hustle and bustle into a peaceful land, this hotel might be your place.
