Introduction

Wuhan, capital and major industrial and commercial city in Central China’s Hubei province, is a charming city that combines the beauty of scenic rivers, enchanting lakes and picturesque attractions. It is located at the confluence of the Han and Yangtze rivers and consists of a conurbation of three adjacent former cities—Hankou (Hankow), Hanyang, and Wuchang.

It features the Yellow Crane Tower, nicknamed “World’s No.1 Tower” and the renowned Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge. Through the years Wuhan has been adorned with praises in poems and stories.

When visiting Wuhan don’t  miss the Jianghan Street known as the “world’s first pedestrian street”;  the Jiqing Street where food culture and folk culture meet; and the century-old Hubu Lane, reckoned being the “No. 1 Lane of Chinese snacks”. They all carry strong local Wuhanese  characteristics.

Other famous spots include the Guiyuan Temple, Qingchuan Pavilion, Wuhan Zoo, Guqintai, Guishan TV Tower, Qintai Grand Theater, Yongwang Mall, Hanyangzao Creative Cultural Park, and Yellow Crane Tower Wine Culture Expo Park.

InterContinental Wuhan and InterContinental Wuhan International Conference Center together forms a magnificent construction with an area of 100,000 square meters. It is designed with biomimetic landscape to resemble a shell, novel and unique.

InterContinental Wuhan

Designed with the theme of “water” in mind, InterContinental Wuhan Hotel, with its softly curved architectural shape, perfectly blends the rigidity and softness of water. The surrounding International Expo New City together with the 12 rectangular pavilions which spread out in a circular shape has since become the landmark in Hanyang New District of Wuhan.

InterContinental Wuhan is the first international luxury five-star hotel in Hanyang New District. It is located at its very heart of the District, and consists of two parts: the hotel podium and the international conference center.

It takes only 35 minutes by car to reach Hankou Railway Station and Wuchang Railway Station; 40 minutes to Wuhan Railway Station; and 45 minutes to Wuhan Tianhe Airport.
