Introduction

Grand Hyatt Shanghai opened its doors to guests in 1999.   To date the hotel has been thriving for 25 years, mostly due to its commitment to quality and personalized service. This summer the hotel will be celebrating its Silver Jubilee anniversary, a very special occasion to be marked with ceremonies, parties and large scare events.

Every time I go to the hotel or pass it, I see crowds of mostly youngsters taking pictures of the hotel, or selfies with it at the backdrop, at every creative angle only they can imagine.  I guess they are the best brand ambassadors any hotels can ever find.

The hotel is 10 minutes’ drive from The Bund and Yu Gardens; is within easy access to the Shanghai Stock Exchange, Shanghai World Financial Center, Shanghai Tower, and the International Conference Center.  It is just minutes walk to Metro Line 2 Lujiazui Station.

Attractions near the Grand Hyatt Shanghai include the Bund, the historical buildings along the Huangpu River, the Oriental Pearl Tower, China Art Museum, and Yu Yuan Garden, just to name the obvious.

If you ever find yourself in Shanghai now and then, consider visiting this architectural marvel and experiencing its luxurious accommodations and panoramic vistas.

Let’s go inside Jin Mao Tower to see what Grand Hyatt Shanghai has to offer.

This iconic hotel is the landmark of Lujiazui business hub, Pudong area of Shanghai.  It occupies floors 53 to 87 of the 88-story Jin Mao Tower.

It was once the highest hotel in the world, with its lobby situated on the 54th floor.

As I stepped into the awe-inspiring atrium on 56th floor, I found myself gasping at the sheer height and elegance of the space.
