Last week I had this very enjoyable vacation at the L’Alya Ninh Van Bay. It was so good that I just couldn’t wait to share with everyone.
The resort is located directly on the beach, accessible only by boat, about 15 minutes from the mainland by speedboat.
On arriving at the reception lounge, I realized it was going to be a great stay.
My breath was taken away on the boat trip to the island, and from there on after. I was greeted by the wonderful staff and my personal butler, Thi.
The grounds cover an area of 9 hectares, are spread over private beaches, jungle hillsides, and lagoon pools.
The resort has a spacious Organic Garden that encompasses a Chicken Home, a Mushroom House, a Fruit Garden, a Gym, a Spa, Vegetable Garden, Herb Garden and Nursery. This sustainable resort with its fresh garden, mushroom house and chicken house is able to supply fresh foods on the menu.
And its has the only natural lagoons in the area.
There is a big meeting room for suitable purposes.
Villas are airconditioned. They are gorgeous, clean and peaceful. Various accommodation styles are available. Full shower and bath facilities in all of them, and with private pool. Cosy, comfy bedding. Mine is Lagoon Pool Villa. I must say overall it was a very, very pleasant villa I was in during the whole stay.
The Restaurant serves great food, staff members are attentive and very friendly. Breakfast was delicious and varied, whilst dinner was delicious and fairly priced.
Many activities at the L’Alya Ninh Van Bay. You can do walking trails, yoga workouts, exercise at the gym, try spas of Swedish, Thai or Vietnamese style (I did Swedish, at one point I fell asleep on it), walk or sunbathe on the white sand beach, swim at the tranquil sea or in the infinity pool by the beach, do restaurant dining or barbeque dining on the beach.
L’Alya Ninh Van Bay is among the very few west-facing resort in Vietnam offering memorable sunset views. Don’t take the catamaran out for sunset.

But that’s not to say the resort is all perfect. For example, the light on the path back to the villa should be improved as I found it quite dark returning from the beach barbeque dinner. And some rusty wardrobe hangers should be replaced aleady. Other than that, the resort is still fascinating. Trust me, it is 10 times more amazing if you are on the ground experiencing it for yourself.
