Hyatt Opens Alila Dong’ao Island Zhuhai
Hyatt announced the opening of Alila Dong’ao Island Zhuhai, a luxury all-suite clifftop resort perched at the southwestern tip of Dong’ao Island in Zhuhai, a less than an hour from Zhuhai city by ferry, where guests can relax and feel restored amidst sweeping sea views and sublime serenity.

The resort’s design is led by acclaimed interior designer Ju Bin. Inspired by local Lingnan culture and craftsmanship, it features elements that pay tribute to the surrounding landscape. The resort includes 104 spacious suites, each offering sea views or a private courtyard, and they are designed with Lingnan-inspired decorative touches.
Restaurants at the Alila Dong’ao Island Zhuhai offer various culinary experiences highlighting Cantonese flavors. The establishments include SEASALT, an all-day restaurant with a seafood-driven menu, and HOITONG, which focuses on traditional Cantonese cuisine. CHUN bar, an outdoor lounge area, provides a cozy spot for scenic afternoon tea or locally-inspired cocktails.
For wellness and recreation, Spa Alila offers treatments that draw on the curative benefits of natural ingredients and ancient healing techniques. The resort also provides daily fitness facilities, a yoga room, a kids’ club, and a cantilevered infinity pool extending nearly 50 feet over the cliff’s edge.
In addition, the resort features over 5,000 square feet of event spaces, suitable for a range of occasions, from intimate meetings to large celebrations.
